The Sovereign (Tiamat) Warlock Patron

Expanded Spell List

The Sovereign lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a Warlock spell:

*When you cast Find Familiar with this feature, your familiar always takes the form of a draconic entity, such as a pseudo-dragon, wyrm, or a dragon-themed elemental spirit.

1st Level: Draconic Essence

You channel the essence of Tiamat's five heads, gaining abilities related to each. You can invoke each head's power once, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest:

  • Black Dragon's Acid: As an action, you can spray acid in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d10 acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
  • Blue Dragon's Insight: As a bonus action, you gain blindsight out to a range of 10 feet for 10 minutes. During this time, you also gain advantage on Arcana checks.
  • Green Dragon's Deceit: As an action, you can cast charm person (save DC equals your Warlock spell save DC), without using a spell slot.
  • Red Dragon's Fury: As a bonus action, you can cause flames to wreath your body. The first time you hit with a melee attack on your turn, the attack deals an extra 1d10 fire damage.
  • White Dragon's Chill: As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can cause the attacker to take 1d10 cold damage.

6th Level: Chromatic Warding

At 6th level, you can channel the resilience of chromatic dragons. When you finish a short or long rest, choose a type of damage from the following list: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. You gain resistance to that damage type. Additionally, you can, as a reaction, give yourself immunity to the chosen damage type for 1 minute. Once you use this reaction, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

10th Level: Dragon's Majesty

You gain an awe-inspiring presence like that of a dragon. You have advantage on Intimidation and Persuasion checks against creatures that are not immune to being frightened. Additionally, you can cast fear once using a warlock spell slot. When you do, you can choose any number of creatures you can see within range to automatically succeed on their saving throw, not being affected by the spell.

14th Level: Avatar of Tiamat

You can assume the form of a draconic avatar of Tiamat. As an action, you can transform, gaining the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • You sprout wings and gain a flying speed of 60 feet.
  • Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with an attack, you can deal an additional 1d6 damage of the type associated with your Chromatic Warding.
  • You emanate an aura of draconic might. Allied creatures within 30 feet of you gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened and charmed.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
